That is why I run monthly Challenge Groups to help people on a daily basis to create healthy habits, win small victories, and reach goals they never thought was possible!!
In my current challenge group, I have Bonnie B. who has done such an incredible job on her fitness journey!! She has been doing a variety of workout programs from All-Access Beachbody On Demand such as Shift Shop, Core De Force, and CIZE!
Not only is she doing 30 minute workouts in the comfort of her own home to get strong and tone, but she is also incorporating healthy eating and Shakeology into her regimen! Shakeology is one meal that she does not even have to think about, but is giving her the proper nutrition and superfoods her body needs that we do not get when we just shop at the grocery store!! High quality nutrients gives you high quality results!!
This journey is not about a diet, it’s about creating a lifestyle that you can live off of forever!! I am so super proud of this mom and friend for working so hard and being so consistent every day to push through those workouts, to eat healthy even when something is tempting her, and to show others what is possible!!

So if you have been following my journey, the Shift Shop journey is in FULL force!! We are in week 2… my hubby and I and are following our challengers in our big exclusive test group! Being 20 weeks pregnant, I wanted to pick a program to follow from home that still challenged me, gave me cardio, weights, and an easy meal plan to follow, yet allowed modification for when necessary!! I know my body and definitely do not want to over do it and hurt myself or the baby!! So, this is what we choose!!
Being half way through week 2, we are kicking butt with these workouts!! They are a challenge for sure, but I think my past workout programs I did really got me in great shape to still be able to do this program without modification yet!! As my belly gets bigger, there will be some moves I may have to modify!! But overall, my husband and I both LOVE the program and what it gives us!
We have been waking up every morning at 6 am and getting in our workout and it feels so good and have that 25-35 minute workout out of the way and really gives us energy to get our day going!
Let’s talk nutrition for a minute… nutrition is NOT easy for me!! It is what I struggle with the most! I use to struggle with eating at night… I craved sweets. Now that I drink Shakeology, it has SIGNIFICANTLY helped those cravings and I am good! Where I struggle with is snacking during the day and if I am out… which we have been traveling a TON lately!
But, I want to keep this pregnancy healthy and stay as in shape as possible and not gain those 60 lbs I gained with my other 2, so this Shift Shop program really allows us to focus on simplified nutrition and easy prepping with our food!
Breakfast for champions! Eggs with our fresh veggies from our garden! See, healthy eating isn’t expensive!!
Here is our meal plan for Week 2! I am using Plan B 1500-1700 calories! And I may add an extra spoonful of natural peanut butter here and there lol… hey, I am just being honest!!!
Dinner tilapia with our fresh veggies from our garden turned into stir-fry! I used Bragg liquid aminos in the stir-fry cooked with EVOO! This is a must try!!
With our veggie stir-fry, we are mixing it up with whatever veggies we have from our garden!! So basically TONS of zucchini, tomatoes, and adding mushrooms, kale, and broccoli or green beans from the garden!
If you are wanting to start working on your own fitness journey or wanting to change things up if you are not at your goal or plateauing, please fill out the application below for a spot in my next fitness challenge where I can work with you 1:1 in my private group!
This is where you will get daily support, accountability, and TONS of fitness and nutrition tips!!
So we have all 5 kids with us for a few weeks and we are so excited to have everyone together!! This is by far the hardest part of having a blended family is the distance between my husband and his kids not seeing each other often, and it gets harder for me and the boys not seeing them a lot. So while we are together, we are going to make the most of it!!
My goal is to have family dinner EVERY night between 5-6… so far, its day 2 and I am on a winning streak lol! On day 2, I decided to make something new because I had a bag of frozen chicken breasts and didn’t feel like making anything that I already had on my blog! So I did some researching and came up with a perfect meal!
So my kids (my oldest I should say) can be very picky… when they see green (spinach or kale), they get nervous lol… well, I thought, I am cooking for 7 people every day, they are going to eat what I make!!! lol
So as I made this meal, I was so proud! It looked amazing to me, and smelled sooooo good!! I had dinner on everyone’s plate and the big barn door table ready!! Kids came down and 2 of them threw a fit and said they didn’t like it… BEFORE TRYING IT! UMMMMM excuse me?!??!?! You didn’t even try it!!!!! Do any of you moms have to deal with this?!!? I mean come on already! Feeding 7 people and you can’t even try it?? So mommy got a defensive and the words that came out of my mouth were, “You are going to say you don’t like it and you have not even put it in your mouth yet? Are you aware of the thousands of kids who are in other countries and WISH they had this meal sitting in front of you who do not have the ability to eat anything? You are going to sit here and eat your food and if you decide not to, you will not eat the rest of the night.” Yup, I said it… that may be harsh, but I am NOT willing to cook more than 1 meal for a meal if you know what I mean!
So the 2 boys got scared of me lol… and changed there attitude… gave it a try and GUESS WHAT?!?!?!
4 of the 5 kids (2 kids who threw a fit are included in this 4) GOT SECONDS because it was so good!!!!!!
BOOM!!! And all you need to do is give it a shot!!!
Lol, so there is my story! A bag of chicken used, a box of gluten free pasta used…. and 2 servings of this sauce WAS COMPLETELY GONE after our dinner with a family of 7! Everyone made happy plates and they were pretty proud of themselves for making happy plates too!! PS. A happy plate is when they eat everything off their plates!! They look forward to saying they made this!
Ok, so let’s get to how to make this yummy dinner that tastes like your eating a Pasta from the Cheesecake factory or Olive Garden!
1 cup coconut milk (or if you don’t want the healthy version, you can use heavy cream, but you cannot taste coconut at all!)
½ cup low sodium chicken broth
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
½ cup parmesan cheese
1 cup spinach, chopped
1 cup raw kale
½ cup sun dried tomatoes
In a large skillet add olive oil and cook the chicken on medium high heat for 3-5 minutes on each side or until brown on each side and cooked until no longer pink in center. Remove chicken and set aside on a plate.
Add the coconut milk, chicken broth, garlic powder, italian seasoning, and parmesan cheese. Whisk over medium high heat until it starts to thicken. Add the sundried tomatoes and let it simmer . Add the raw spinach and kale to bottom of baking dish. Add chicken on top of spinach and kale and pour cream mix on top.
Bake for 20 minutes.
Let cool and you can enjoy with your favorite pasta! I used gluten free spaghetti from Aldi!
1/2 lb 90% lean ground beef (or 1 full lb of lean ground turkey meat)
½ cup dry oatmeal
1 tablespoon plus 2 teaspoons worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon dijon mustard
4 tablespoons sugar free barbecue sauce (I use G Hughes from Walmart)
1 tablespoon raw honey
1/2 cup chopped onion
½ teaspoon sea salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In a large bowl, use your hands to mix together the ground turkey, beef, oats, 1 tablespoon of the worcestershire sauce, mustard, 3 tablespoons of the barbecue sauce, onion, the salt, and pepper.
Shape the mixture into a long, thick log and place in an oiled baking dish. Be careful not to pack the meat too tightly or you’ll end up with a very dense, tough loaf.
In a small bowl, whisk together the remaining 1 tablespoon barbecue sauce, the remaining 2 teaspoons worcestershire sauce, and the honey. Spread evenly over the meatloaf bake for 45 minutes. Slice and serve!
This is a recipe that is perfect for the kids and family!! I mean, who doesn’t love meatloaf?!?! And they wont even know it’s healthy!!
If you want more healthy recipes, motivation, and accountability to reach your fitness goals and you are serious about your commitment to your journey, please fill out the application below for a spot in my exclusive fitness group!
As a mom, sometimes it’s tough to get our kids to fuel those little bodies because they are picky, and just don’t always like to eat! I have done trial and error with my kids and have found some easy healthy ways to get them to enjoy eating without putting tons of artificial sweeteners and chemicals in their bodies and its cost effective too!
So I want to share with you an example of a weeks worth of my kids lunches for school, but also can be used as healthy snacks!
Peanut butter rice cake with cucumber and hummus
Ham and cheese sandwich with apple and cinnamon (the cinnamon will keep your apples from turning colors) and almonds
Chicken, go-gurt, and fresh blueberries
banana and peanut butter sandwich, carrots, and light string cheese
Whole wheat and cheese quesadilla, apple sauce, wheat Scooby -do graham crackers
Low sodium ham wrapped on light string cheese, rice cakes, fresh mixed raspberries and blackberries
It’s also easy to pre make some of these and have them all ready to go! As I meal prep, I prep a lot of my kids food and place them in sandwich baggies! I cut up the veggies and wash the fruit, cook chicken, and make sandwich cut outs a couple days in advance!
When it comes to my kids, health is a priority! Showing them a healthy lifestyle early, will prevent obesity and health issues in the future! Just as we teach kids to brush their teeth, make their bed, and pick up toys, we can teach them how to eat healthy, but still allow them to enjoy food!
So you know the quote, “When life gives you lemons, you turn it into lemonade.” Well, I have a new quote that I am running with today!!! “When life gives you lemons, squeeze it, mix it with 6 ounces of distilled water and drink it twice a day.” -Jethro Kloss
This is about keeping up with your health and incorporating easy foods that can be used with many health benefits!! So lets talk LEMONS today since they are yellow and it’s so sunny today! 🙂
Lemons have so many health benefits and one thing I was surprised to hear is that it actually can:
Give you as much energy as coffee, so replacing your coffee in the morning will help you improve your energy in a healthier way!
It will also prevent you from aging (which coffee causes you to age).
Is full of potassium, which helps your heart health.
Act as a diuretic and help increase the rate of urination of the body.
Aids in digestion and helps flush our unwanted materials.
Clears skin. With the vitamin C in lemons, it will help decrease wrinkles and blemishes.
Once the lemons are freshly squeezed into the juicer, there you have it…. Lemon Ice-cubes!! Perfect to go in your water to give it some extra flavor!! Plus, the kids love it too!!

Hey guys!! So I have realize how inconsistent I have been with my blog, so I’m committing to getting back on track with sharing my journey and tips with you!! As a mom of young kids, military wife and family, and stay at home mom, I know many can relate that life gets crazy, but want to share that keeping that healthy lifestyle is so important and doable even when lives are crazy busy!!!
So I am starting to get more strict with my fitness and prepping for my 3rd figure competition! I am 14 weeks out and am further behind from my last shows, but since I have experience, I’m confident that I can really cut quicker than my first two shows since I know how my body responds.
So here is my meal plan for this week!! This first half of the week, I did incorporate peanut butter, but the second part, I am switching over to PB2. I need to see what changes I can make in 2 weeks to judge if I can have any cheat meals or not or how much of a cheat I can have!
For my workouts, I am using my home fitness programs with Beachbody, along with running and the gym!! I love to mix up my workouts…so getting a variety will help keep my metabolism going and prevent me from hitting a plateau.
Mornings I am doing fasting cardio for 20 minutes 3-4 days a week. Then in the late morning, early afternoon, I am doing other Body Beast, or the gym so I am isolating each muscle group when I am lifting. With Body beast, I am doing bulk phase of the workouts.
As time gets closer, I will be doing HIIT training 3 days a week and some type of fasting cardio 6 days a week, but not quite yet since I’m more focused on muscle mass and too much cardio too soon will mess up my game plan lol.
One of my favorite parts about this prep is I get to have my husband prepping with me!! Well, he’s not doing a show per say, but he has goals so were going to kick butt together and help each other through the cravings, hangriness, and pushing through hard workouts!! And yes, I said HANGRINESS… lol Brent saw it first hand last night… I should have eaten more but I missed a meal and didn’t pack anything so I was really really hungry post workout!!
Anyways… let this fun journey begin!! I am excited to share the good, bad, and ugly with ya and share my changes I make over the next 14 weeks!!!!
Spring is JUST around the corner and I know it has been so easy to hide our body in our clothes from the winter… I don’t know about you, but I am all in for feeling healthy and looking healthy in my sun dresses, tank top and shorts, and bikinis!!
I am so excited that as an online fitness coach, I have the ability to mentor people from all over the US and Canada on their fitness journey by running my private groups in a closed group to help give EVERYTHING needed to reach those BIG fitness goals!!
So many people try on their own and are not successful with their fitness journey for a few reasons…
They lack the nutrition- People cut out carbs, calories, and starve themselves for a quick fix… little do they know, that the weight loss (if it comes off) is only temporary and when you start eating again (because you cant live like that), you gain it back and sometimes more than you lost!
They lack the workout aspect- Nutrition is key, but people do not realize the impact of working out actually does!! You cannot just eat right and expect to get that nice tone body! Exercising increases your metabolism and will help improve your energy, your confidence, and how you feel inside and out!!
They lack support and accountability- So many do not have support… they are on this journey alone which is easy to lose motivation when you struggle.
Maybe these reasons you have failed in your past are relatable. I can say I have failed in my fitness journey so many times!! But I am also proof that you can move past your failures and let your failures be a learning experience to be successful!
WHAT IS THE SPRING INTO HEALTH BET???
As a Beachbody coach, I have been able to learn and experiment the best ways to get the weight off and keep the weight off…. to build muscle, to learn better eating habits, and live a healthy lifestyle all the way around! By doing this, I incorporate exercise, nutrition and portion control, with support groups and accountability.
Beachbody has done a wonderful job at helping us give ourselves and our clients the very best! So they have recently released an amazing opportunity that I dove into quickly and has been a HUGE help with my journey! Now I get to share with you!!

But measuring and portioning our food based for each food group is an option and will help you get the most results! Each container is color coded for each food group and you will get a guide for what your body needs to reach your individual goals.
Lastly, with theSpring into Health Bet Challenge, you have the opportunity to incorporate a superfood health shake that will change your life!! I have been using Shakeology into my regimen for the past 4.5 years when I first got serious with my fitness journey and I will say, it helped me overcome my ice cream obsession and became my healthy alternative…. Shakeology helped me with getting the nutrients I wasn’t getting from my every day foods.. I started while breastfeeding and I knew my baby was taking away the nutrients I had, so this was my way of replacing what I was losing! I feel like I have more energy, less bloating, and less cravings for bad food simply because I am fueling my body with the right food!
I am so excited to kick off my next private group that will give you EVERYTHING you need to reach those goals!! It’s time to feel good and confident inside and out!! If you are ready to commit and interested in a spot in my support/challenge group, please fill out the application below and I will contact you ASAP!
Ok moms and dads, I know it can get confusing, difficult, and annoying to think about having to meal prep for the week, having all this healthy food ready when we don’t have a lot of time on our hands!
I promise you, just like anything else in life, if you take the time to start meal prepping for the week to create that healthy lifestyle, it will become easy and painless and second nature just like taking a bath and brushing your teeth!
Just as healthy eating can be simplified, so can exercise!! So I want to show you that you do NOT have to live in the gym and workout for 2 hours a day to get the results you are looking for.
You can easily workout, in your own home, while kids are sleeping or playing, and get it done in 30 minutes or less!! And yes, the results can be seen in 30 days or less!! It all depends on the work you are willing to put in and the commitment you make to be consistent with healthy eating and exercise!
So I want to give you an example of what you can do to start feeling good on the inside and out!! It is important for some to look good on the outside (I mean come on, who doesn’t want to look good this summer in their bathing suits and cute rompers) but if you are not healthy on the inside, then it will show on the outside! So lets figure out how to make this a WIN WIN!!
I run online fitness challenge groups where we focus on nutrition and exercise, along with giving daily support and accountability which is a HUGE bonus that helps my challengers and participants become successful with their journey!
#1. Good nutrition made simplified– I meal prep every week and yes, I cook a lot of the same foods because it not only saves me money (which most of you I’m sure want to do as well), but time! So many of us make the excuse of time restraints and financial restraints! Well, Im taking those away and giving you the opportunity to make it work!!
I will easily take a 2 lb package of chicken breasts and throw it all in the crock pot, adding some spices and walk away for 4-6 hours!
I cook up a few servings of brown rice/quinoa to have as my healthy carbs.
I use some fresh veggies, and also frozen veggies to use for the second part of the week and eat the fresh first. I love using steam fresh! Easy and not a huge mess to clean up!
Of course I have my Shakeology that is my superfood shake that I drink once daily to give me one meal I do not have to worry about and am getting the best nutrition!
With my fitness groups, when I set you up with a fitness program, many of them come with portion control container to measure out your food. This is another way you will save money… your not buying junk food and your not overeating! Each color coded container will before a certain food group, so however big that container is, that is how much food you should eat of that food group. Of course, you will also take in account of your daily caloric need based on your age, weight, and activity level.
#2. Exercise- As I said before, you can workout 30 minutes or less a day in you own home and get amazing results!! I love this especially being a mom where I can wake up and get my workout done before I start work and not have to drag my kids out of bed!
My results above are from the program 21 Day Fix Extreme! I absolutely LOVED the program and the workouts! You can pick a program that incorporates weight lifting so you can tone and/or build muscle, or you can go without any equipment and focus on toning, weight loss, and improve your endurance!
#3. Support and accountability- Ok, this is a biggie!! Anyone can workout and eat healthy, but sometimes we fail because of the lack of support we have to keep going on our journey!! When family and friends are not on this lifestyle you are trying to, it gets hard and sometimes we become defeated because of those around us! Time to let that go and surround yourself around others with similar goals!! Thats where my group comes into play!! Did you know you become like the 5 people you surround yourself around the most?! Yup, totally true!!! So I want to help you make sure you are getting that support you need to reach those goals with flying colors!!
